Got home from work about 5:45 PM as this was my late day at work. Love, hugs, kisses.
We turned on the Yankees/Orioles game, Which was painful to watch given that the Orioles, one of the worst teams in the MLB, somehow has the Yankees number this year.
Nevertheless, Jake had gone up to his friend, Alben Lamaj’s home in the Bronx. He explained that he arrived at Alben’s about 10 AM, but he couldn’t contact him and he wasn’t answering his front door. So he waited on a stoop near his building. He also killed some time by walking around the block and going to a deli before two of his other friends arrived, Griffin Martin, and Brandon Willingham. The three of them went to another friends house, Jenny Ndini, and Micky Bell. They had plans to go see a movie, but because the movies they wanted to see were all sold out, they weren’t able to get tickets together. In the meantime, Alben texted Jake telling him that he was asleep with no phone or alarm at his side because his brother took his iPhone and iPad.
Jake took things in stride and they all joked about it afterward. As for their plans, there was confusion and a lack of planning and in the end, Jake and his friends ended up doing absolutely nothing all day except getting something to eat. Oh well, at least he got to do nothing with his friends.
Jake finally arrived home around 9:20 and was welcomed with gigantic hugs and kisses and love.
And after the Yankees were finished losing the game against the Orioles, we were off to bed.

Hi Jordan
Go Apache!! I know, you are Water this time. Go Water!! How did you do in the soccer game? Any good flops? We got to see some cool pictures of you and the first night ceremony. You looked good in the canoe. What’s canoe with you? I just told dad I wrote What’s canoe with you and he is sooooooo jealous that I got to tell you that joke. I went downtown to B&H Photo to look for a camera. The guys there said I should stick with the mirrorless camera, so I am. I am also getting a new telephoto lens for the camera that is 70-300. Jacob went to the Bronx today to head to the beach. He texted me a few times that they kept waffling on plans. Turns out that they didn’t go to the beach, but they tried to go to a movie. Apparently, all the movies they wanted to see were sold out. He is now downtown getting dinner. Dad just read me some of what he has written to you tonight. I canoe believe he stole my thunder. So, all the Thai soccer players, coach, and rescuers are out of the cave. Great news. Do you want to go off camp grounds on visiting day? We could find a good restaurant if you’d like. If you are interested, I will google some places.Harry says hello. He is feeling much better because he is taking steroids. The only bad thing now is that he now banned from playing any sport or from competing in the Olympics. I love you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox Mom

My beloved little-big boy, I hope all is well and that you’re having a fantastic time! I’m sitting next to Mom while both of us are writing our emails to you. And she just told me about her ‘Canoe’ gag, and I canoet believe she wrote that :p I apologize for that, but just a little.
Anyway, I saw that you are the newest Water Boy. Good work! I also saw you playing soccer. That must have been really fun! Was was the final score 0-0? Great sport. Also, I wanted to remind you that we are calling you Thursday evening, just 36 hours before actually visiting you. That doesn’t make much sense, does it? Oh well, be prepared to give us a finely tuned list of goodies you would like for visiting day. It’s not every day that we go out of our way to make you happy — oh wait, YES IT IS EVERY DAY!! You’re welcome. As for baseball, The Yankees won the second game of the double-header the other day 11-2. There have also been many stupid trade rumors running around, all of which usually end up complete bunk, so I won’t bother you with any of them. That said, there have not yet been any actual trades, and you can bet that the Yankees do something — just not clear yet what that might be… Hint: it might not be for a pitcher since there are no really good pitchers available without signing over the entire farm system over to the other team. So the other way to win games (besides good pitching to limit other team’s scoring) is to produce more runs, so there is one fun, yet disturbing rumor worth sharing as it is gaining steam. This would be Manny Machado and Closer Zach Britton to the Yankees for some package of prospects/players (someone suggested Brandon Drury, Domingo German, and Clint Frazier). Personally, I don’t want to give up 6 years of Clint Frazier for 2 Months of Machado and Britton. Last night, the Yanks played the O’s and the Yanks had yet to get on base by the 5th inning — until Didi singled, Andujar walked and Bird hit a 3-run homer putting the score at 3-2 Yankees. I’ll let you know tomorrow who won. And then there were stats :: Wins :: 1. Severino • NYY 14 :: 2. Kluber • CLE 12 :: Snell • TBR 12 :: Nola • PHI 12 :: 5.
