Today was a big day for Jake and our family as today was the day Jake became a licensed driver. Congratulations, Jake!
Got home, love, hugs, kisses.
After inviting my entire family to the gym, only Jake excepted my invitation, and so it was he and I who went to the gym to work out today.
Back home, we began talking about some upcoming movies we wanted to see. This is a fairly common conversation but rarely does Jordan chime in with a particular movie that he wants to see. Tonight was different. He pointed out a trailer of an upcoming movie called, “Joker“. So we took a look at the trailer. It was about the villain, Joker from the Batman storyline, but the story was different. It almost made you sympathize for the Joker, which I was sure was the intent. That said, the movie looked very different from any other superhero movie we’ve ever seen. And it wasn’t only different, it was also compelling. Jake noted that “‘different’ is not always good.” I totally agreed. In this case, however, this different approach seemed very interesting.
Another interesting thing about this trailer was that our apartment building could be seen at the very beginning of the trailer, which we thought was very cool. I thought it was impressive that Jordan noticed this as the opening scene was simply an overhead pan of the Yorkville area.
In addition to checking this out, we booked tickets to see Shazam, which opens this coming weekend. We booked three tickets for a 3D showing at the Stroud Mall for Jake, Jordan, and me. Rochelle did not want to go.
Immediately after that, we booked 4 tickets to see the movie, Avengers Endgame on April 26, also it’s opening weekend. This would be the day after we return to Pennsylvania from our college road trip. Endgame has a lot of hype going into it, and so we’ll be there to judge whether the hype was relevant and warranted. We reserved our seats in the center of the 3D XD theater at the Stroud Mall. If it’s as good as its predecessor, Avengers: infinity war, then it will be one of the best movies ever. Not much to ask.
For the rest of the night, we watched episodes of the Zoo, Goldbergs, and Dateline, and then we were off to bed.
Happy, healthy, infinite love and gratitude!
