portexThis morning, Rochelle went for a run. She brought back bagels for Jake and her. And she said the weather was nice outside. I took her word for it since I did not go outside all day.
Jake got up at some point in the morning. I wasn’t paying too much attention as I worked at my workstation because he is on spring break and so he gets to relax a little bit.
After he got up, he made a point to give Rochelle and me a big hug and kiss good morning as he does every morning.
After eating his bagel, he went back into his bedroom and chilled out a bit, playing some Naruto on PS4 and what not.
Early in the afternoon, Rochelle made her way back outside and walked all the way to 72nd St. on the west side to Trader Joe’s, where she picked up some food there. She didn’t have to go all the way over there except that she wanted to take a walk and she also wanted to check out Trader Joe’s, so the two worked well together.
When she arrived back home, she made some chicken fried rice using Trader Joe’s fried rice and chicken from a rotisserie chicken she got in from fresh direct the day before yesterday.
In the meantime, Jake made his way out to meet up with Ben Robinson, who was back in the city for the week visiting, even though he was not on spring break. He just wanted to visit home. It was made easy because all classes are online. I think that should always be an option going forward. It really makes things much more convenient and flexible so the option should always be there for sure. Clearly we have the technology to do it.
I got off of work around 5 o’clock and took a shower. Immediately after that I had the chicken fried rice that Rochelle had made, and I told her it was even better than the chicken fried rice we get from the restaurant, Vietnam, which is also quite excellent. That seems something considering the fried rice was frozen before Rochelle prepared it. Apparently, she prepared it perfectly!
After dinner, Rochelle and I chilled out and did some work on our computers. Eventually, we watched a couple episodes of Schitts Creek followed by a couple episodes of Game of Thrones.
Around 10:30 PM, it was time to start getting ready for bed, teeth brushed, flossed, logged into work systems for tomorrow morning, and journaled.
Jacob arrived home as I was mindfully meditating, love, hugs, kisses. Rochelle stayed out in the living room to watch TV for a little bit more. And then I was off to bed.
Happy, healthy, infinite love and gratitude!
